Signal "7"

We were all sitting in the office when we heard over the radio that there was a signal “7”; which means possible death. Crystal and I were assigned to the case. We rushed to a silent, single story house. We arrived and the initial responder (first cop to arrive at scene) told us there was blood all over the place and to be careful. We noticed, while walking to the outside bedroom door, that there were blood droplets leading to the bedroom. The bedroom was attached to the house near the kitchen and there was a door in the bedroom that leads to the outside. As soon as we walked in the bedroom, we noticed that it was totally ransacked. Nothing was where it was supposed to be and there was blood on the walls, floor, furniture, and continued throughout the house. The bed was in the middle of the room with no sheets on it and a large area of the mattress contained blood stains. There was an artificial tree in the corner of the bedroom that was lying on the ground. There were 23 beer cans setting on the desk on the back wall of the room. A blood smear was on a wall in the bedroom where the bed use to be against. There was glass on the floor at the head of the bed near the bookshelf. As we were walking through, we also noticed blood spatter on the tile floor to the kitchen entrance. On the back wall of the kitchen we noticed another blood smear, which appeared to be a resting place for the person for a while, due to the small blood pooling and large blood droplets. We also noticed a foul odor coming from the kitchen. As we turned the corner in the kitchen, we noticed a dark yellowish brown substance on the floor that had obviously dried. We put two and two together and realized that it was urine. The blood drops in the kitchen lead to the hallway and finally, the bathroom.
