We did our initial walk through, which consisted of walking through the house and trying to figure out what exactly was going on. We then took digital photographs of the house, focusing on the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. We also focused on the blood smears, spatters, and droplets. We took several swabs of blood to be sure it was the victims and no one else’s. There was not any other evidence to collect pertaining to this particular case. The blood samples were packaged and sent to Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for analysis. We were unable to find any weapons. The photographs were downloaded and a report was written. I was at the crime scenes simply for assistance and was not allowed to write the final reports. Therefore, Crystal wrote the reports and made sure the swabs were sent to FDLE.
